Skeptic's guide to trolling.
A Skeptics Guide to break, enter and annoy.
A brief guide for climate skeptics who troll and display their ignorance.
- As an accredited skeptic activist register in every climate change forum.
- More argy-bargy and bluster, not less. Just push in and make yourself at home.
- Never let a bit of science get in the way of your deeply held opinions.
- Accuse your opponents of alarmism at every opportunity.
- Better. Accuse them of ad hominen attacks. Latin rules.
- Use derisive language and cast aspersions often.
- Gloss over inconvenient facts and round out your figures and findings. Be blunt!
- Express disgust about researchers scheming for funds and the f****** IPCC.
- Dismiss peer review science as stacked against the skeptics, or us.
- Tell all and sundry that you once knew a scientist who didn’t believe in AGW (even if he did work for Gina Rinehart).
- Sing the praises of Fox news, the Heartland Institue, American Thinker, Rush Limburgh, Steve McIntyre and Richard Linzden both frequently and often.
- Disregard the preceding tautology as you’ll be using lots of them in the game ahead.
- Be generous in your wordiness. It’s a great way to sidetrack red-hot issues.
- Speak learnedly about the uncertainties, and the costs of climate change mitigation.
- Never disclose your hidden perks, memberships or stock holdings.
- Never ever disclose your psychiatric assessment or medications
- Sneer at opponents for living in comfort zones of climate group thinking. None of that in the parallel universe of skepticism WE inhabit. Gasp, it’s hot in here!
- Never admit defeat or take a backward step. We know where you live.
- Defend the right of free speech, yours in particular.
- Always engage in debate with your brain in neutral.
- Remember logic is for losers and that your opinion rules.
- Say you have been authorised by President Trump to spread his views about fake news.
To be continued.
